Who Gets PMS?
The actual estimates vary widely, however, studies
show that somewhere between 40-80% of all women experience some
symptoms of PMS. PMS is not specific to any race or age, but it
is most commonly found in women in their late twenties and early
thirties. (25-35).
There are a number of other factors that can
determine who is susceptible to PMS. This includes women who have
had multiple pregnancies, high stress levels, trauma, tubal ligation,
use of birth control pills, excessive weight gain, or weight loss,
lack of exercise, previous major surgeries, skipping meals and those
who make poor food choices.
